What a hotel booking system costs in Bangladesh
Most quotes for a hotel booking system in Bangladesh are not comparable, because the thing being quoted is different every time. One agency is pricing a contact form that emails you a request. Another is pricing live availability, card and bKash payment, and a desk your staff work from every morning. Both call it a booking system. This page sets out the parts, so you can tell which one you are being sold.

The short version
- A booking system is four things: availability and rates, the guest-facing booking flow, payment, and the admin desk your staff use. A quote missing any of them is not a booking system.
- The single biggest cost driver is how many things it has to talk to — one property with one rate plan is a fraction of the work of three properties syncing to OTAs.
- Budget for the running cost as well as the build: hosting, the payment gateway's percentage of each transaction, and someone to call when it breaks.
- Work out your break-even in bookings, not in taka. Every direct booking is one you did not pay OTA commission on.
The four parts you are actually buying
Ask any quote to price these separately. If a line is missing, it is not being built, and you will be asked for it again later.
Availability and rates
The system has to know which rooms exist, which are already taken on which nights, and what each one costs on a given date. This is where seasonal rates, weekend rates, minimum stays and per-room-type pricing live. Without it, a guest can only ask; they cannot book.
The booking flow
Dates in, available rooms out, guest details, confirmation. It has to work on a phone, on a slow connection, and it has to re-check that the room is still free at the moment of payment — otherwise two guests can buy the same room within the same minute.
Payment
Cards, bKash, Nagad and internet banking through a gateway such as SSLCommerz, with the booking only confirmed once the payment is verified on your server rather than in the guest's browser. Most of the cost here is in doing that verification correctly.
The admin desk
Where your front desk sees today's arrivals, blocks a room for maintenance, changes a rate, refunds a guest and reads yesterday's numbers. This is the part cheap quotes leave out, and the part your staff use every single day.
What moves the price up
In rough order of how much they add:
More than one property
Two hotels under one brand is not twice the work, but it is considerably more than one: shared guest records, separate inventory, per-property staff permissions and one place to see both.
OTA and channel sync
Keeping your own site, Booking.com and Agoda from selling the same room is the single most expensive feature in hospitality software, because it has to be right every time and you cannot control the other end.
Restaurant, spa, events or transport
Each is its own inventory with its own rules. Adding them to the same booking and the same bill is where a booking system starts becoming a property management system.
Rate rules that are genuinely complicated
Corporate rates, agent commissions, long-stay discounts, packages and refund policies that differ by rate plan. Each rule is small; twenty of them interacting is not.
Moving your existing data in
Historic bookings, guest records and a live site that cannot go dark during the switch. Worth pricing explicitly rather than discovering in week three.
The costs that arrive after launch
A build price is not the whole number, and any quote that does not mention the following is quietly leaving them for you to find later.
Hosting and the domain are ongoing. The payment gateway takes a percentage of every transaction under its own contract with you, not ours — ask for that rate in writing before you sign, because it is a permanent cost on every booking you take. And something will need changing: a new room type, a new rate, a new bank. Decide up front whether that is a support arrangement or a phone call each time, and price it either way.
How to work out whether it is worth it
Do not compare the build price to zero. Compare it to what you are already paying.
Every booking that comes through an OTA costs you commission on that booking, forever. A guest who finds you on an OTA, then books on your own site, costs you nothing. So the question is not whether you can afford a booking system — it is how many direct bookings a month it takes to cover it at your commission rate. For most hotels that number is smaller than they expect, and it is a number you can calculate from your own last twelve months.
The second return is quieter and larger: you stop losing the guests who would have booked at eleven at night if there had been a way to.
What we would do
We build the booking system on your own site, on your own domain, and hand over the source code. You can see a complete one working — search by date, pick a room, enter guest details, pay through a simulated SSLCommerz checkout, then look at the same booking from the admin side — in our Aura Residences demo.
Our published figures are on the pricing page. They are quoted for your market, and the scoping call is where the scope above turns into a number for your property rather than a range.
Questions we get asked
Can I not just use a WordPress booking plugin?+
You can, and for a small guest house with a handful of rooms it may be enough. The limits show up in three places: most cheap plugins take a request rather than a confirmed, paid booking; the ones that do take payment usually support foreign gateways rather than bKash or SSLCommerz; and your booking page is then only as reliable as the least-maintained plugin on the site. See our guide on choosing between a custom build and WordPress.
How long does it take?+
A single property with a straightforward rate structure is a matter of weeks. Multiple properties, OTA sync or a restaurant attached moves it into months. The honest answer depends on the parts listed above, which is what a scoping call is for.
Do I own it, or am I renting it?+
We build systems you own, including the source code. That matters most on the day you want to change something and we are not available — you are not locked to us, or to a monthly fee that never ends.
Will it work with Booking.com and Agoda?+
It can, and for a hotel taking meaningful OTA volume it should. That is the channel sync described above, and it is worth pricing as its own decision rather than assuming it in.
